Digiware is born in Colombia in 1996 as an answer to the needs of IT Security of several companies in the telecommunications field, sustained by investigators focused on this problem. The company was the pioneer in the development of specialized services like penetration tests in IT systems and the securing of servers in Colombia. In 1997 it is recognized by IBM in Colombia as Best Team in the IT Security area performing the implementations of its new product, IBM Firewall at the time. In 1998, Check Point recognizes Digiware’s level of knowledge in the market, and certifies it as Premier Partner for the distribution and support of its products in Colombia. Since 1998 Digiware has performed different strategic alliances with the purpose of broaden its portfolio of products looking forward to integrate the best security solutions that exist in the market with specialized consulting and training services. This way companies like Check Point, F-Secure, NFR, Nokia IP, Security Solutions, Secure Computing, Trend Micro and Websense, have integrated the company’s  solutions portfolio. In 1999 the company extends its operation to Ecuador, through several strategic allies, to attend the particular needs of the territory mentioned. From 2001 the company additionally covers the operation through commercial agreements with companies in Venezuela and Costa Rica. Likewise, the company is recognized as Check Point’s Authorized Training Center. In the same year services were incorporated like Emergency Response Service, providing an immediate response to computer’s emergencies to IT attacks or frauds, becoming the first and only private service in Colombia of its kind, likewise the company is recognized as Authorized Training Center of Check Point, allowing to provide knowledge on Firewalls technology to the users of the product in Colombia.

Nowadays, Digiware has an alliance scheme with strategic associates at a local level that has allowed to consolidate a higher number of businesses exceeding one hundred clients. Likewise projects with insurers in England and dealers in the United States are being developed. This way the company continues to place itself as a professional services and specialized IT Security company, because of the ongoing research and expansion process that has permitted it to continue to provide the support to the organizations in the protection of their information systems.
