In-Depth Defense

Overview:
It is a theoretical – practical course that seeks to offer an IT officer or network administrator the ability to implement advanced security technologies for the protection of the technological infrastructure of his/her company. Techniques and tools focused on different types of operative systems and applications will be learnt.

• Firewalls, IDS, networks, systems and applications administrators • IT security staff • IT security officers
Prerequisites:
• Good understanding of Networks and TCP/IP • Basic knowledge of C programming • Good practical understanding of Microsoft 2x, UNIX and associated applications. • IT security basic conceptual knowledge. • Conceptual knowledge about Firewalls, IDS and other security technologies

• IT security evolution • Tools detection in an attacked system • On-line attacks detection • How to deceive the intruders • Implementation of defense tools • Design and implementation of defense architecture
About the Labs:
• Implementation of defense mechanisms in network, operative systems and applications • From the beginning of the course until the end, the design and implementation of the defense architecture will be completed, where diverse topics will be included among others: tools detection in an attacked system, alert setup, IDS setup, honeypots setup.
